Child Policy

Children over 10 are welcome in the Luxury Suites, unless all 6 Luxury Suites are booked for exclusive use in which case children of all ages are welcome. Children of all ages are welcome in the Royal Suites and at Africa House.

We have a wonderful children’s programme at Royal Malewane and our team is well trained to ensure the safety of your family while on safari.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Africa House is spacious and elegant with vibrantly eclectic furnishings. Light floods into the six en-suite bedrooms, each of which enjoys private outside shower and deck. Antique furniture, carved four-poster beds from Mombasa, plush silk furnishings and Persian rugs create an exotic and luxurious feel.

Season

The best time to visit really depends on your personal preferences – nature has something to offer throughout the year. Incredible game viewing can be experienced at any time and there is not really a ‘best time of year for game viewing’.

The region enjoys summer rains and dramatic thunder storms – temperatures soar into the 30s in the summer months. The vegetation is lush and verdant attracting incredible bird life while many new borns appear at this time of year.

The winter months are drier and cooler – the vegetation is sparser resulting in improved visibility for game viewing as the animals make their way to the watering holes for hydration.
