Completed in 2013, the Lodge has been awarded an International 4-star grading by SATGC – the South African Tourism Grading Council. It has seven large, beautifully decorated bedrooms, high speed wi-fi and a stunning dark-based infinity pool which blends perfectly into the landscape.
Aloe Lane Guest Lodge is surrounded by an extensive indigenous African landscape which attracts abundant forms of bird life. As you walk through the door, within the blink of an eye you can easily believe that you’re in the middle of the African bush.
Pool Area
The picturesque dark-based infinity pool offers stunning 180% panoramic views, creating the effect of being at a bush camp watering hole at dusk.
Our covered outdoor veranda looks out onto the wooden deck around the pool, and has a comfortable seating area and a built-in barbecue, or ‘braai’ to us South Africans! Perfect for early morning coffee or evening cocktails – with amazing sunsets, and panoramic views of the Lonehill Rock upon which our logo is based.
Gardens
Our traditional thatched property is surrounded by an extensive indigenous African landscape which attracts abundant forms of bird life. We have taken great care to develop the surroundings of the original property, and they are very much a part of what makes Aloe Lane so special. You will find numerous corners in which to relax and unwind, with a good book or a good glass of South African red!
In the gardens we also have an outdoor ‘Boma’ with open-air fire pit and seating – ideal for late night stargazing. These grounds also offer a variety of locations for private or business events, generally suited to for smaller, more exclusive gatherings.
