All you need to know

Intro

We specialise in taking your guests to the last of the raw and empty wildernesses in southern Tanzania. They will find the Africa they dream of on winter nights at home. An Africa that is disappearing fast, where the trails aren’t congested with vehicles and where you often don’t see another soul in the parks.

Our team will design personalised adventures through the south and west of Tanzania, staying in the most remote and private areas of the parks where wildlife is abundant. Trekking with chimpanzees, walking along trails that no human has journeyed before, swimming in hot springs, and sleeping under the stars listening only to sounds of the bush.

Highlights

We believe in comfortable camping. We set up unpretentious, yet totally private safari camps; with each location hand selected right in the heart of the parks to ensure excellent wildlife encounters.

The safari camps are truly mobile. There are no built structures whatsoever so when they are moved there is no trace of them ever having been there as the bush takes hold once again.

Need To Know

Experts for south Tanzania: Ruaha National Park, Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi National Park, Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Katavi National Park, Saadani National Park, Mahale Mountains National Park, Kitulo National Park, Mkomazi National Park

Safaris

While there is a certain ‘recipe’ which works in the southern circuit, each of our trips can be designed to match specific timings, wildlife interests or fitness levels. Tanzania is a large country so distance, road conditions and flight routes are all considered by our team when developing your clients' dream safari itinerary.

Wildlife

In south Tanzania there is enormous variety of wildlife.

See giant pods of hippo, columns of buffalo 3km long, massive concentrations of lion, excellent plains game, and large family gatherings of elephant.

We have leopard resident opposite our Ruaha camp, and you have the best chance to see Wild Dog in Tanzania.

Accommodation

The tents are large safari tents, with en-suite flushing toilets and hot water shower facilities in an enclosed extension at the rear of the tent. We bring in wooden beds, thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and plenty of towels and blankets. The camp is equipped with all home comforts for each stay, even rustic sofas! Solar panels provide charge points for electrical items, and all lighting is by solar lantern. The star gazers lounge area around the camp fire provides a focal point after sundown, and the open sided dining tent provides shade throughout the day.

Delicious three course meals are cooked to your clients' taste by the camp chef, and picnic lunches are provided to spend more time on game drive. Bread is baked in our home made bush oven, buried in the ground and covered with coals; while food and drinks are chilled in gas fridges. All drinks are included on an all-inclusive basis, and beer or wine is served with dinner. All you need to do is inform us of your clients' preferences and we will stock each safari camp accordingly.
