Azura Selous is located on the banks of the Ruaha River, in the south of Tanzania. The Selous is known for its private and exclusive game sightings, where there is typically only a single vehicle at any viewing. This fits well with Azura’s ethos of client exclusivity, and their passion for offering top notch experiences in remote, unique, and undiscovered locations. Walking safaris will be a particular highlight for adult guests, and as the only camp in the Selous with a dedicated children’s club educating them on the bush, teaching tracking skills, and enabling them to enjoy fishing in the river.

All our game drives are in custom made 4 x 4 vehicles that have open sides and raised seating, ideal for comfortable game viewing and photography. The cars either hold 6 people or 4 people so the whole experience of coming to stay with us is a very intimate one. Accompanied by highly trained and professional guides, walking safaris offer guests the rare chance to get up-close and personal with the game. When the Great Ruaha River in front of the lodge is high enough to facilitate boating safari's this is a wonderful way to see the African game and wildlife from a different perspective.
