Whilst the dedicated team at the camp makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive, our extraordinary guides will take you on a variety of land and water based safari activities in Zambia's Lower Zambezi Valley, one of Africa's last remaining true wilderness areas.

In the absence of fences, tar roads, light pollution and traversing limitations, the Lower Zambezi Valley offers an authentic wildlife experience.

Baines' River Camp can accommodate up to 20 guests in 8 individual units and our two-bedroomed Family Cottage. Although first and foremost a safari camp, our corporate clients can make use of our Boardroom which comfortably seats up to 16 delegates, to have their management meetings in an inspiring environment.

Game viewing by vehicle and boat, canoe safaris, walking safaris, sport angling for tiger fish and sunset cruises. There are no set itineraries and departure times for your safari activities and your host will plan your stay together with your guide and our chefs to suit your preferences. When and where possible, we offer all our guests their private guide for the duration of their visit.

The Lower Zambezi Valley is renowned for its extensive elephant population.  Other wildlife highlights include leopard, lion, buffalo and zebra. The miombo and riverine vegetation offers habitats to 372 recorded bird species.
