Named after the 1800s English explorer Samuel Baker, Baker’s Lodge is located on the southern bank of the mighty Nile River that transects Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP). This intimate and upmarket safari lodge set on the water’s edge overlooks the Nile river with beautifully trimmed grass, large shady trees and wetland areas that are abundant in bird life. Herds of elphants and pods of hippos can be seen from the lodge's main viewing deck.

Chimpanzee trekking is possible at Budongo Forest, approximately 1.5 hours drive away. Hippos can be heard and seen grazing in the lodge grounds at night (don't worry guests are escorted)!
