Intro
Camp Hwange is a Classic Safari Camp on a private concession deep in Sinamatella area which is in the north of Hwange National Park. This is Zimbabwe’s largest park and is truly one of its best. Our camp is a 3 hour drive from Victoria Falls. One hour being on a very good tarred road and the final two hours, through the National Park.
Our wholesome cuisine includes a good selection of meats, vegetables and fruits. We can cater for vegans & vegetarians or anyone with food allergies.
Camp Hwange is a very intermit camp, perfect for guests who want a truly wilderness experience and a wonderful feeling of being in large open areas.

Child Policy
- Unless booking the whole lodge, we regret that no children under the age of 8 will be accepted at Camp Hwange.
- Children aged 8-12 years will be charged 50% of the adults sharing rate.
- Please note we have no babysitting facilities. As our lodge is in a wildlife area, children should be under supervision of their parents or a guardian at all times.
- There is no family room at Camp Hwange, however, we are able to place a third bed in the room so the child can be with the parents.
- All children aged 8 to 14 should have a parent or guardian sleeping in their room at night.
- At meal times should children continually be disruptive they will be asked to eat separately to other full paying guests.
- Families with children aged 12 and below will be asked to pay for a private vehicle if there are less than 6 of them.
- The age limit for children on a walking safari is 12years and above, however, this will be at the discretion of the Pro guide in camp.
- We do not allow children from one family to join another family on activities should their parents wish to do a different activity
Accommodation
We can accommodate 16 guests’ at one time in eight well spaced rooms. The accommodation is in large spacious thatched Chalets with canvas and gauze sides which all over look a large water hole. Each chalet offers en suite flush toilets, a shower and wash hand basin. All beds have large mosquito net and overhead fans and all geysers, fans and lighting operate on solar power lowering our environmental footprint. Each chalet has a universal adaptor charging point for all electronic equipment and twin or king-size beds. Each room has a sleeper couch which can be used for children under 14years of age.
The main living area includes a dinning, bar and lounge area with an open air fire pit with incredible view of the stars.
