Intro
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is situated in Nkuringo,Uganda, bordering the south western corner of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The panoramic view of the Virunga mountain range and the Great Rift Valley is the magnificent backdrop for the unique eco-lodge which sits high on a ridge at 2100m.

The lodge is decorated with plush furnishings and turned wood, with commissioned artwork from Ugandan artists adorning the walls. The atmosphere is one of luxurious relaxation after a day tracking gorillas in the surrounding forests. Guests staying at Clouds directly contribute to the local Nkuringo Community. who partly own the lodge.

Forest walks. Gorilla tracking. Birding trips in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which chimpanzees and mountain gorillas co-exist. The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) will lead the guests into the forest for a life-changing experience.
Wildlife
Bwindi is home to approximately 330 mountain gorillas as well as many monkeys (black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s, blue, vervet and baboon). The forest has more than 350 species of birds; many regional endemics.

Children are welcome, however under 15's are unable to track the gorillas (activities with the local community can be arranged whilst parents are tracking).
