Elephant’s Eye, Hwange is located on a private concession (6000 ac) which borders the Hwange National Park, the largest Park in Zimbabwe, Covering an area of approximately 14 650 square kilometers, and named after a local chief, Hwange is situated in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls. Hwange boasts an incredible biodiversity of flora and fauna, and a plethora of African wildlife - over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species have been recorded here, including an important elephant population, large buffalo herds and a high predator density, including the critically endangered painted dog.

Wildlife
Hwange is home to Africa's Big Five. There are thousands of elephants and buffalo in the area and lions are commonly seen, however the elusive leopard is always a bonus. Hwange also has one of Africa's most important painted dog populations. In addition, birdlife is abundant. This area has such variety of wildlife that one hundred different species have been recorded.
