Highlights
The location is breathtaking. In a secluded valley up on a hillside overlooking the whole of Masai Mara. In the middle of a game rich conservancy and adjacent to the park. The camp is beautifully nestled into the valley with very spatious and elegant tents. We do gamedrives in our open landcruisers with very professional guides whenever our guests want to go. We do walking safaris, visits to our community projects (school, girls rescue center,..) and visits to local villages. We do bush breakfasts or picnic lunches on the plain, sudowners on different beautiful spots in our conservancy, nature walks with our guides to learn more about plants and birds and masai culture. We offer you a true wildlife adventure in a very comfortable and agreeable setting.
Need To Know
Not much really. Masai Mara is a paradise, with few worries. At our altitude we do not recommend any malaria profylax as we do not see any mosquitos. Food and water is fresh and nice and we do not see any reason for any vaccinations for yellow fever or typhoid.
We have plenty of game and guests have to be aware that the main danger is from elephants and buffalo so all have to be escorted around in camp after darkness.
Safaris
We do all types of safaris in our conservancy or in the national reserve at any time the guests so wishes. We recommend a tailored program for the coming day every evening depending on what the guests wishes to do and see. We always make sure the guest get an adventure and experiences for their lifetime.
Wildlife
Our conservancy is very game rich. We have an abundance of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, heyna, waterbuck and more and often find the wildlife wondering through camp. We also often have leopard and cheetah passing through camp.
20 minutes away you are in the Masai Mara National Reserve and in the secluded parts close to camp we often find rhinos and leopards. We also do trips to the Talek and Mara rivers to see hippos and crocodiles, and in the right season the wildebeest crossings.
All our guests are amazed with the amount of wildlife they come to see at a very close distance.
Quick Facts
Our guests normally stay 3-6 nights. We recommend at least 4 nights in order to have time to really experience all we have to offer and also have some time to relax in camp or by the pool, or go on a walking safari and visit some of our cultural projects.
Most our guest fly in with domestic or charter flights from Nairobi, 40 minutes away. We arrange all transfers.
Adult prices sharing doubles on all inclusive packages ranges from about 300 usd to 550 usd.
Park and conservation fees amount to about 100 usd per day.
No child is too young to appreciate a stay in Masai Mara. We however recommend really young children to be accompanied by a bit older ones and parents to avoid disturbance to other guests.
Our family suites have two twin bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The big living room inbetween has an open fireplace and two divans that can also be used as extra beds.
Meals can be served also in the tents.
Accommodation
We have 4 huge family suites that can accomodate 2+2+2 persons with two bathrooms and a large terasse. We also have 5 doubles with ensuite bathrooms. All tents are huge and nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and terassess overlooking the Masai Mara. The tents are very private at about 100 meters distance from eachother. We have a big lounge and dining area and a pool area.

Season
The great wildebeest migration with abt 1,5 million head of game enters Masai Mara in early july every year. They come for grazing after the long rains (april-may) as the grass is tall and plentiful. Towards the end of september they start moving south after finishing the grass. September- mid october is a good season to see them crossing the Mara River on their way back south into the Serengeti. We often have some rain in November but just a bit so it stays a bit green. December -March is great. Even during the long rains in april-may it can be very nice unless you are unfortunate and have several days of rain, if not it is nice and green.
Temperatures are always good as we are close to the equator. Masai Mara is at an altitude of abt 1.700 meters so it is never hot but daytime around 25 degrees C and a bit chilly in the nights.
