Intro
The &Beyond Botswana Explorer Expedition is a guided journey through Botswana’s best-known wildlife areas. Providing exceptional game viewing, this camping adventure allows guests to experience the best of the region by vehicle, on foot, by traditional canoe and by boat, exploring both national parks and private wildlife concessions. Guests travel with a dedicated guide and move between a series of private campsites.
Highlights
The Okavango Delta is home to a large number of species, including some that are specially adapted to the semi-aquatic lifestyle. Families of hippo frolic in the channels and lagoons.The floodplains of Moremi shelter vast families of elephant and huge herds of buffalo, Chobe National Park is home to the largest concentration of elephant on the African continent.
Need To Know
The days are designed to thrill you with intimate wildlife encounters and the nights to delight you with the indulgence and romance of Africa. The final night of the adventure is spent in Zimbabwe at the splendidly remote Elephant Camp, situated within sight of the flume of water vapour hanging above Victoria Falls.
Safaris
The best way to end a day of safari here is sipping on a cocktail while watching an African sunset over the still waters of the Chobe River from the comfort of one of our specially designed riverboats. Sundowner cruises are also a great way of seeing buffalo up close as they come out of the shade to graze in the cooler evenings and elephants as they wade in the river. Chobe is renowned for its abundance of dramatic sable and roan antelopes with their impressive horns. Sitatungas - antelope with splayed feet to help them run in swamps - are often seen here, as are the wild dog and lion that prey upon them.
