Flatdogs Camp is unique in its approach to safaris. They offer incredible value for money and flexibility that is rare in this industry. Flatdogs sits on a kilometer of the Luangwa River looking over the world famous South Luangwa National Park. In the 18 years they have been in operation, Jess, Ade and the team have developed a loyal following of people who understand the importance of the sustainability of the resources they rely upon to be able to view a wide variety of animals in their natural habitat, whilst their outstanding staff look after guests in a very personal way.

Intro
Highlights
A la carte restaurant and the guiding. Two of the things they are most proud of. Flatdogs offers a wide range of dishes sourced from local produce of the highest quality, which can be ordered throughout the day. There is a welcome variety of lighter dishes, salads, wraps, excellent dry aged beef, aromatic curries. A daily specials board uses seasonal produce at its best and the flavours speak for themselves. All dietaries, allergies and preferences catered for!
Need To Know
Maximum 6 people on a vehicle to ensure all guests get a window seat. Vehicles are all totally open to allow maximum viewing potential. Croc Nest guests get private vehicle and guide as do four adults in the Jackalberry Treehouse.
Safaris
Exceptional Guides lead both walking and driving safaris. Two National Park Scouts are based in camp from June to end October to accompany walking safaris. All day drives offered to guests who stay for extended periods to allow them to explore a more diverse area of the huge South Luangwa National Park.
Wildlife
The Luangwa is famous for its leopards, but Flatdogs also regularly has up to 10% of the world's population of Thornicroft Giraffe on site from time to time. The habitat is ideal for the giraffe and they are often seen on the access road to camp as well as feeding on the array of trees in and around camp.
