Intro
This beautiful tented lodge offers a tailor made safari stay on the banks of the Chobe River. Located on Impalila Island, on the Namibian side of the Chobe River, this owner managed lodge gives guests the freedom to explore this beautiful region with your own private guide and tender boat for the duration of your stay.
Highlights
A stay at Ichobezi River Lodge gives guests front row seats to view the Chobe National Park wildlife right from the lodge along the river or by game viewing boat ride. Try birding or catching the famous Tiger fish. Each group of guests has the use of their own personal guide and private tender boat for the duration of their stay.
Need To Know
Every month in the Chobe offers visitors something unique. If you are looking for a purely wildlife experience then the dry winter months (Jun-Aug) see greater concentrations of game along the banks of the Chobe River. The summer months (Nov-May) sees the birdlife explode with the addition of the summer migrants to the area. The fishing opportunities in the area are excellent both in winter and summer.
Safaris
Activities offered for the Ichobezi River Lodge's guests include game viewing off a tender boat along the Chobe River. Photographic safaris on a game viewing boat and fishing excursions on the river are also fantastic experiences. The bird watching opportunities both from the lodge and boats is incredible too.
Wildlife
The Chobe area is famous for its diversity of wildlife and the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Buffalo, lion, lechwe, puku, giraffe, zebra, sable, kudu and leopard are also frequently seen in the area. Over 450 species of bird have been recorder in the grasslands and waterways of the Chobe.

Child Policy
Children are welcome at the Ichobezi River Lodge. Please note, that the Ichobezi River Lodge can only accommodate one child under eight 8 with their parents by putting an extra bed into the parents tent if necessary.
Accommodation
Accommodation consists of eight large Meru safari tents, each with its own private balcony overlooking the Chobe rapids and an en-suite bathroom.
