Intro

Il Ngwesi lodge is an upmarket eco-lodge and the only community conservancy supported by the Northern Rangelands Trust that is genuinely owned and run by the local Maasai community. It is an example of ethical tourism, where revenue from the lodge goes to support community development including education, livelihoods and health.  It works hand in hand with partners such as Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the Northern Rangelands Trust to both conserve northern Kenya's iconic wildlife whilst also supporting development in the local communities.  Visitors return again and again and many become regular supporters and friends.
