Being part of the world-renowned Kruger National Park, the Timbavati enjoys a wealth of incredible biodiversity of both Fauna and Flora as well as the amazing White Lions of the Timbavati. Kambaku offers guests an exceptional safari experience, either by open safari vehicles or by foot. Expect to enjoy intimate sightings of the Big 5, White Lions, Wild Dogs, Cheetah, Hippo, and Crocodile as well as a large variety of other general game and birds whilst taking in the breathtaking natural surrounds.

Guests from both Kambaku lodges are invited to make use of the sunset spa facilities situated at Kambaku River sands.
The Sunset Spa facilities include two treatment rooms, a fitness center, refreshing plunge pool as well as steam & sauna rooms for both the ladies & gents.
Guests are treated to a secluded, tranquil experience, which is difficult to beat. Our dedicated, professional therapists are on hand with a full range of spa treatments and therapies.
Safaris
Two game drives and an optional bush walk are offered daily. Game drives are conducted in open vehicles with an experience guide.
Wildlife
The Timbavati Game Reserve is well known for offering exceptional game viewing. Host to the Big 5 and many other species, incluidng the famous White Lion, guests will be assured of a great safari experience

Accommodation
Kambaku Safari Lodge accommodates only 16 guests in thatched chalets – situated in a horseshoe around the camp’s waterhole. Our accommodation is exclusive, yet affordable – designed to reflect the cool calmness in the heat of the African bush.

Season
Summer: September to April
The Timbavati is fairly dry with summer rain, falling between the months of October and April. ±500mm (20 inches) per year.
Temperatures in summer range between 20°C to 39°C (68-102°F), and up 42°C on an unusually hot day (good swimming weather).
Winter: May to August
Days are pleasant, evenings are cool to cold, especially when on an open vehicle.
Temperatures range between 10°C to 29°C (50-84°F) with very little or no rain.
