Intro
Leleshwa Camp is an intimate tented camp located on the exclusive Leleshwa Conservancy adjacent to the world re¬nowned Maasai Mara, regarded as one of the wildlife jewels in Kenya. The camp is set amongst yellow bark acacias and rests along a stream valley overlooking picturesque hills and rolling plains; Leleshwa will charm you with its warm welcome and will quickly become your home away from home.
Highlights
Child friendly: An environment that provides loads of space for fun and interactive activities focussed on fully immersing and encouraging them in nature, wildlife and culture. Along with their guide and Maasai tracker children can enjoy a special walk along the river bed exploring the tracks and signs, learning how the Maasai start a fire with sticks and elephant dung, practise throwing a spear or learn how to use a bow and arrow. They can keep busy with drawing, painting, making clay animals, baking animal shaped bread and biscuits or on a treasure hunt. A busy day is often rounded off roasting marshmallows around the camp fire. Cultural interaction: Leleshwa Camp has very strong ties to the local Maasai community and provides an interactive cultural program that will enhance your safari experience by immersing you in the day-to-day traditional way of life of the Maasai people. You will come away with a better understanding of this interesting Maasai culture and memories that will last forever. Need To Know
- 4-5pax guarantees exclusive us of vehicle. - Airstrip transfers: Siana Springs, Naboisho & Mombasa flights ex Keekorok - Water, soft drinks, beer, house wines and non-luxury spirits are included in the room rates. Guests are welcome to serve themselves at the open bar in the lounge tent. Champagne, special wines and luxury spirits are additional. - Local area community & conservation contributions included in rates. Masai Mara Game Reserve Fees (MMGR) are not included, but unless otherwise requested, ONE entry will be invoiced at the prevailing rate. - Children staying free of charge will be charged Conservancy fees per night in addition to the MMGR entry as indicated.
Safaris
Activities take place on the Siana Conservancy & in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy a full or half day of discovery in the Mara Reserve which is within comfortable driving distance of Leleshwa Camp. We recommend an early start with a mid morning picnic breakfast pausing for lunch under a shaded tree. Your guide and tracker will set out a traditional picnic with ice cold drinks after which you can enjoy a siesta on the blankets and cushions we provide before continuing your afternoon game drive back towards camp. Game drives in our conservancy are private and undisturbed therefore guests will rarely encounter other vehicles. Many guest enjoy ending their stay at Leleshwa camp by rising early on their final morning to watch the sunrise over the African plains with a steaming cup of coffee and hot muffin. An evening on the conservancy is never complete without a stop for a sundowner cocktail and night drive searching for nocturnal animals. Daily Safari Activities personalised to each guests preferences/requirements: - Accredited Professional Safari Guides - Closed 4WD safari vehicles with three roof hatches. A maximum of five guests per vehicle - Hot Air Balloon Ride available in the Mara at a supplement(transfer to launch site included)
Wildlife
Conservancy - local game year round: The conservancy boasts a rich diversity of game and bird species consisting of our resident predators which includes lion prides, numerous leopards and cheetah, large herds of plains game and shy forest dwellers. The plains boast the Wildebeest Loita Migration where the resident herds come to calve during February. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is a short drive away to explore the uear round variety of game or the masses during the migration before retreating to the peace of the conservancy.

Child Policy
We welcome children of all ages. For the purpose of all our accommodation rates, children are aged 6 years – 17 years and 365 days. Persons aged 18 and above are considered adults. Infants (aged 0 – 5 yrs and 365 days) stay free of charge. Please note that for Maasai Mara Game Reserve fees, children are aged 4 years – 11 years and 365 days and for those aged 12 years and above, adult rates apply.
Accommodation
Leleshwa Camp consists of seven well-appointed, insect-proof bedroom tents. Each tent has a large verandah with views overlooking the hills and plains. The ensuite bathrooms are fitted with a flushing toilet and hot shower. All tents are battery powered. Laundry is provided on a daily basis. 2 x Family/Honeymoon Suites 5 x Luxury Double/Twin Suites
