Lengai Camp is situated well off the beaten track at a great location from which to explore the open plains and numerous volcanic craters all around. This is the heart of Maasailand, home to a handful of scattered maasai villages. Wild animals roam throughout this beautiful area, especially when the plains turn green after the rains, enhancing the feeling of classic Africa.

Serengeti is a day’s drive from Lengai Camp passing through Loliondo Game Controlled Area. This is spectacular, picturesque and remote wilderness. Tarangire lies about 4 hours away as does Ngorongoro Crater, while Manyara is a 3 hour drive. The camp is ideally situated for those who wish to break their journey when coming from or heading to Serengeti. There are two common routes: heading North to Lobo gate or South to Naabi gate via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
