Lewa Wilderness is one of Kenya’s oldest and most private safari ventures. The lodge is just ten exclusive rooms: six cottages tucked into the hillside overlooking Lewa’s Eastern Marania Valley, plus two garden cottages set amidst the beautiful green lawns. Lewa Downs airstrip is a 50 minute flight from Nairobi Wilson airport, which is served by both Private Charter and Scheduled flights. We recommed Private Charter with Tropic Air Kenya and Schedule flights with either Air Kenya or Safarilink. Lewa Wilderness is just a 20 minute drive from the Lewa Downs airstrip.

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is set against the back drop of the ever looming Mount Kenya and incredible views of the distant northern mountain ranges. The diverse topography of Lewa makes the perfect setting for game drives, walking, riding and flying. Lewa has a huge variety of wildlife with 114 different species of mammal and 429 bird species. Best known for its rhino conservation with 62 black rhino and 60 white and the world largest population of resident endangered Grevy zebra. There are also elephant, wild dog, buffalo, greater kudu, oryx, lion, leopard and cheetah amongst many other mammal species.
