Lion Camp is built amongst Sausage and Mahogany trees, on the edge of an oxbow lagoon which attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Game viewing in and around camp is spectacular with lions, leopards, wild dogs, large herds of elephant and buffalo, the highest concentration of hippo in Africa, incredible bird viewing, and plentiful sightings of the unique Thornicroft’s Giraffe, Cookson’s Wildebeest and Crawshay’s Zebra. Savannas, woodlands and the meandering Luangwa River form the backdrop to this amazing part of the South Luangwa.
