This most awe-inspiring of landscapes is the setting for Mahali Mzuri, Sir Richard Branson’s tented camp in a pristine part of the African bush. Positioned within the Maasai Mara ecosystem, this is the place to be for a front row view of the abundant game in the area. The camp is also in the path of the world-famous annual Great Migration.

Intro
Highlights
Mahali Mzuri is located in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and there are 13,500 hectares of bush to explore. Against the backdrop of a valley and sprawling plains as far as the eye can see visitors to Mahali Mzuri can expect exciting game drives with experienced Guides, delicious meals, a cosy and relaxing atmosphere at our camp and accommodation in a uniquely designed, spacious and luxurious tent.
Need To Know
Mahali Mzuri has been set up in collaboration with the local Maasai communities and a limited number of other tourism partners. Our key priorities are to leave as minimal a footprint as possible on the land and to promote low density tourism which creates less pressure on the environment.
Safaris
We have open 4x4 Land Cruiser vehicles, seating a maximum of six guests and there are early morning and late afternoon game drives. Night game drives are also available and can be arranged by guests whilst at Mahali Mzuri. We can also pack you a picnic lunch and set off on a full day drive to make the most of the bush.
Wildlife
Made famous by the abundance of wild animals roaming the Kenyan plains incluing wildebeest, elephants, zebra, lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffe, impala and gazelles, the conservancy partners have restricted the number of vehicles allowing a more private game viewing experience. On a typical game drive at Mahali Mzuri you’ll spot many of the animals listed above as well as buffalos, topi (antelope native to this area only), hippopotamus, warthogs and hyenas plus an abundant and diverse range of bird life. The camp is well placed to observe the abundant game in the area and also to take advantage of the annual ‘Great Migration’, when up to one million wildebeest plus hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelles and other game undertake a journey of roughly 1,600km through Tanzania and Kenya.

Children are able to join their parents on daily game drives. We have children's books, games and kites, plus a TV, DVD player and games console for extra entertainment. Accommodation
We have 12 unique tented suites sleeping a maximum of 24 guests at any time.
