All you need to know
Highlights
The camp is found in one of the last true wilderness areas in the Park, where there are no roads and virtually no signs of humans.
This intense wilderness quality, so hard to find nowadays, together with the full complement of various forms of life (mammals, birds, fish, reptiles) is what McBrides’ Camp offers.
“We were walking with legends of the lion world…. It was an enormous privilege to walk with Chris and Charlotte….†(Man Friday. Article on McBrides’ Camp, “We could watch the wildlife from a boat, or spend the day just lion about.â€) “McBride’s is lion country, plain and simple. The lions are why Charlotte and Chris moved to this untamed stamp of Kafue, and it’s why the world comes to visit.â€
GETAWAY Magazine (Peter Frost, January 2004, p.59, Part of an article…)

McBrides Camp Highlights
McBrides' Camp is located inside the enormous and spectacular Kafue National Park in Zambia and offers a peaceful, wild and rustic wildlife experience. The area around the camp is very remote with no roads and just about no signs of humans. The wildlife viewing is incredible, the views simply magnificent and the service and hospitality is from a bygone era; with only 7 chalets the safari experience is bound to be private and personal. The emphasis here is on walking and walking safaris accompanied by expert guides.(Sun Safaris)
Accolades
This is one of the best places to stay in Kafue. It’s designed to give
visitors maximum exposure to the bush, so a few nights here is about as
genuine as it gets....Chris and Charlotte’s passion is lions. Chris has
written three books on them...and is a fountain of knowledge. These guys have spent many years in the bush and really know what they’re
doing; they’re absolutely passionate about wildlife..
