Flanked by a grove of towering ebony trees on one side and the Luangwa River on the other, Time + Tide Mchenja offers luxury in the heart of the national park. Overlooking a wide river expanse, the camp is wonderful for watching large herds of elephants crossing the Luangwa. The suites bring style and comfort to an authentic safari experience. Between game drives unwind in your clawfoot tub, watching the river meandering past through the floor to ceiling windows. From the comfort of your villa, listen to the bellowing hippos or watch as elephants feed on seed pods just outside your tent. Come, experience this wild land for yourself.

Safaris

game drives and walking safaris Mchenja is often the last camp on a walking safari from Luwi to Nsolo to Kakuli - down the Luwi River Valley. It is the perfect end to a safari adventure - romantic and supremely comfortable.

Wildlife

Leopard are a special highlight, and the huge pod of hippos resident in the river at camp plus elephant,puku, bushbuck and impala in camp most of the time with lion and hyena calling most nights.
