Quick Facts
Accommodation
Mufindi Highland Lodge was buit in 1997 on the 2000 acre private estate. Surrounded by tea plantations, montane forest and rural villages, the area is away from any tourist route and maintains a natural charm. The cabins are built from responsibly grown timber and the rocks are all local. Meats, dariy products and organically grown vegetables are all produced on the working farm,
Rooms
We have 10 cosy wooden chalets with either twin or double beds. With homely decoration and an en-suite bathroom, guests will immediately feel relaxed.
The Chalet completes the accommodation with 2 huge bedrooms each with bathroom with shared upstairs lounge and balcony.
All of our chalets open out to stunning views across the valley, and are generously spaced out across the hilltop.
Season
The highlands are accessible year round. The ‘dry’ season is from May to November with heavy short rain from November to February followed by the long rains from February onwards. Being at an altitude of 6oooft, the temperatures are cool in the early morning and evenings, and nightime frost is not unheard of in June/July.
