Musekese Camp is situated in a stand impressive riverine trees overlooking an large (oxbow lagoon), which holds water all year and is a magnet for wildlife. Very often there can be hundreds of antelope in view. Elephants love the dambo, migrating daily between the dry bush, the wet areas and the shaded woodland.
The wildlife viewing here is arguably some of the best in the Kafue. The bush here holds a great diversity of species including a superb range of antelope. There are currently two lion prides who thrive in this game rich environment and a coalition of two mature males moves between the prides. Cheetah occur here, as do serval and honey badger. Birding is very varied and adds another interesting dimension to a safari.

The camp is owned and run by Phil and Tyrone who have both worked in the Kafue for many years. They are passionate and highly regarded guides who actively contribute to wildlife conservation in the Kafue. Along with Phil & Tyrone, the rest of the guiding team at Musekese and Ntemwa have been handpicked for their exceptional people skills, extraordinary knowledge of the Park, its flora and fauna, and their passion for wildlife and conservation.
The camp itself comprises of four simple but well appointed traditionally thatched chalets, each tastefully decorated in an understated safari style. Small, extra touches ensure Musekese is unlike any other camp in the Kafue. Open air en-suite bathrooms come with traditional wood warmed bucket showers and flushing toilets, combining style with practicality for a comfortable stay and authentic safari feel.
The central area is shaded by a large grass thatch roof, providing a cooler area in the heat of the day where guests can relax with a book from the library or an ice cold drink (or both!). Alternatively guests can sit and relax on the large main area deck, which extends into the dambo providing unparalleled game viewing and bird-watching opportunities, it is also a truly breathtaking site for dinner under the stars.
Activities offered include game drives, walking safaris and boat trips on the Kafue River - a stones throw from camp.
