Nestled discreetly on the banks of a quiet lagoon just off the Shire River, on the western boundary of the wildlife-rich Liwonde National Park, the lodge’s surrounding area harbours a surprisingly abundant wildlife populace. Depending on the time of year, guests can expect to see large numbers of elephant, reedbuck, waterbuck and sable, along with numerous pods of hippos in the river.
