The 'original safari company' - Norman Carr started walking safaris more than 60 years ago in the Luangwa Valley. Luwi, Nsolo, Kakuli and Mchenja camps are dotted along the beautiful Luwi River within walking distance of each other. We walk from camp to camp, spending a couple of nights in each camp to explore and experience the unique wonders of each area.

Property Type
I have been visiting their Luangwa Valley properties since 1971 when Norman Carr operated Wilderness Trails and have no hesitation in saying the operation is second to none.
All their guides have been rigorously trained and are supremely qualified in all aspects of guiding - fauna, flora, bushcraft etc.
Luwi Bush camp is my favourite location and was Norman Carr's preferred camp.
A special day out in the Luangwa Valley with three retired game guards, hosted by one of their top guides.
