Intro
Situated on the eastern side of Etosha, bordering Fisher's Pan, Onguma Game Reserve is one of Namibia's best kept secrets! Here you will be afforded the opportunity of experiencing Africa in all her beauty and diversity. Onguma Game Reserve has more than 34,000 hectares of protected land and wildlife.
Highlights
Guests can enjoy game drives on Onguma Game Reserve. Alternatively, guests can also participate in a nature drive into Etosha National Park where you will be afforded the opportunity of viewing various game in the largest national park in Namibia. Various waterholes in and around Etosha ensure fantastic photographic opportunities and the thrill of seeing some of the largest mammals in the world.

Three new secluded thatched Explorer Bungalows include en-suite facilities, air-conditioning with a private patio. The Honeymoon unit shares the same features as the Explorer Bungalows but includes an outdoor shower and bath. The four Heritage Bungalows offer privacy and all the comforts for a pleasant stay. For families we now offer three Bush Suites which include two bed rooms, one with a sleeper couch and the second with two twin beds. An inter-leading bathroom separates the rooms.
Safaris
Onguma Reserve consists of 34 000 hectares of Namibian wilderness and is home to numerous plains game, more than 300 bird species and even 3 of the "Big 5". After enjoying a game drive into Etosha National Park in the morning, you have several options to choose from when you return to camp: - Join us on a afternoon sunset nature drive on the Onguma Reserve where our expert guides will explain the many intrecasies of the bush. Duration approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Take part in a night drive after dinner and go searching for Onguma's night life and nocturnal creatures. Duration approximately from 1 to 2 hours.
Wildlife
Our nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area. The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Game Reserve is a family of black rhinos! More than 300 bird species can also be viewed at Onguma Game Reserve. During the Namibian summer months the nature reserve becomes a bird-watcher's paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands created by the seasonal rains and ephemeral river systems.

Child Policy
Etosha Aoba is unfenced and therefore no children under the age of 7 years will be allowed. Children 7 to 11 years of age sharing with adults, pay children's rate. The rate for children is a nett rate and includes specified meals. Children 12 and above will be accommodated in a family room at the full rate. Game drives are conducted on open safari vehicles. For safety reasons children under 10 years are not permitted on game drives vehicles. Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted on walking safaris or rhino research drives.
