Intro
The Fort is unlike any other, the only one of its kind in Namibia. It is built in exactly the right spot to give guests probably one of the best sunset views in the whole of Namibia - overlooking the beautiful scarceness of the Etosha Pans, decorated only with its wild animals and hundreds of Camel Thorn trees. Upon arriving at The Fort, you will be received by not only our friendly staff, but also massive raw walls, stunning stone cladded features and a huge tower with the views toward Etosha and Fisher's Pan. The Fort will surprise you at every corner; a classical African feel combined with a touch of Moroccan and Indian flavours, characterised by a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors.
Highlights
The one and only Sultan Suite is situated inside the Main Tower of the main complex. It has a large beautifully designed bedroom that leads into a lounge area and out onto a private viewing deck. The lounge is equipped with a satellite television system, a bar fridge and telephone facilities. And for those warm evenings, you have an air cooling system as well. The large bathroom has a wonderful open shower area, as well as a bath in which to relax and reflect upon your day's experiences.

Safaris
Onguma Reserve consists of 34 000 hectares of Namibian wilderness and is home to numerous plains game, more than 300 bird species and even 3 of the "Big 5". After enjoying a game drive into Etosha National Park in the morning, you have several options to choose from when you return to camp: Join us on a afternoon sunset nature drive on the Onguma Reserve where our expert guides will explain the many intrecasies of the bush. Duration approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours.Take part in a night drive after dinner and go searching for Onguma's night life and nocturnal creatures. Duration approximately from 1 to 2 hours.
Wildlife
The Reserve covers an area of over 34 000ha and incorporates ecological substrata such as savannah, bushveld, omuramba and dry pan. Age-old and well-worn migration routes, once used by elephant and buffalo wander through Onguma’s three dry riverbeds. The Reserve boasts over thirty different animal species. Plains game roam freely on the Reserve and predators although not easy to spot are nevertheless common residents of the area. Lions are frequently seen and often heard. There is a healthy black rhino and leopard population and hyenas are also often seen.

Child Policy
Onguma The Fort is unfenced and therefore no children under the age of 7 years will be allowed. Children 7 to 11 years of age sharing with adults, pay the above children rates. This is a nett rate. Accommodation
Accommodation at Onguma - The Fort consists of 12 mini Suites, all situated adjacent to the Main Fort extending on both sides to the south and the north. Every mini Suite is completely private and about 50 metres apart from one another and is equipped with a bar fridge, telephone and an air cooling system for those warmer days. The spacious bathroom has both an inside shower as well as an outside shower area. From every area of the room, wooden decks lead you towards the outside seating area and sun loungers for just relaxing and enjoying the extraordinary view.

Love the views from The Fort over Fishers Pan. Iconic Etosha scenery and sightings with the benefit of being in a private reserve.
