• The 9 Luxury Cottages

Lined along a contour, deep in the middle of the forest and secluded for maximum privacy, our 9 Luxury Cottages are absolutely resplendent in warm glows and soft shades emanating from the surrounding forest and the trickling tropical sun rays. Constructed of local brick and grass thatched for an authentic African feel, their full length/full width sliding glass door frontage allows for amazing views of the forest flora, just beyond the massive frontal deck/veranda, right from your bed. Two supersized windows from both sides all together let in massive amounts of natural light while a high ridge natural thatched roof guarantees the room is never too hot or too cold.  

Each room comes complete with either a 7ft long King Sized Bed or 2 Double Sized Beds pushed against the back wall between lovely African design bedside lamps. All beds are fitted with mosquito nets although mosquitoes are not very prevalent in the cold forest climate. Other room amenities include an electronic safes, a classic wardrobe, two comfortable lounge style arm chairs, a natural-log coffee table, reading lamp and a luggage rack.

But by far, their most outstanding feature is the spacious ivory colored bathroom with a big bathing cubicle, stylish throne and an artistic, wooden, hand wash basin with hot and cold water. The entire area also has more of the large windows letting in natural light as well as affording more views of the surrounding forests environment.  Bathroom amenities include crisp white bathrobes, bath and hand towels, bathroom slippers, refreshing and nicely scented shower gels, hair gels, hand and body lotions as well as bottled mineral water.

Beautiful and artistic wall hangings, soft colored full length drapes on locally made rails as well as soft hand woven jute and wool rugs adorning the classic wooden floor finish this 30m² suite secluded in its corner of the forest for maximum privacy and comfort.

• The 6 Standard Cottages

The 6 newly furbished standard cottages occupy a separate wing and include the adjoining L’hoest and Colobus as well as the Double Storeyed Elephant Cottage that is very popular.  Each cottage comprises either a queen sized bed or two double beds, a set of two lids and cushion chairs. A coffee table, classic bed side lamps, African wall hangings and hide mats. Each room also enjoys beautiful views of the surrounding forest vegetation from the wide glass windows and doors as well as from the spacious balcony that seems to extend right into the forest.  En suite bathroom and spacious  and well laid with hot and cold water showers and in the hand washing basin.  Room amenities include; bath and hand towels, bathroom slippers, as well as refreshing and nicely scented shower gels, hair gels, body lotions and bottled mineral water. All rooms have mosquito nets and mosquito gauze on the windows. Although mosquitoes are not very prevalent in the cold forest climate.L’hoest and Colobus are adjoined with an inter-connecting door and can be used as a family room or as separate and independently en suite rooms.

• The Elevated Banda 

Secluded far  deeper in the forest is the double storeyed banda which is very popular with our honeymooners and the hopeless romantics. It comprises an upstairs bed room accessed by a stare case and fitted with a 7 by 7 king sized bed.  Bedroom extends out over a large thatched  wooden deck/ veranda which too seems to extend deep into the forest canopy.  The deck is very popular for evening relaxations with a drink as you soak in the sunrays sipping through the tall forest as well as an ideal spot for private room service dinning either breakfast  in the company of white colobus monkeys or red colobus monkeys in the surrounding trees or a candle lit dinner for your special night. The ground floor room comprises of a spacious living room and separate shower rooms and lavatory. The room has been sometimes been taken for small families with the down stairs room converted into a bed room.

• The Tree House

For our adventurous at heart, we offer a secluded Sky Tree House en suite about 200m deep in the forest. Hang upon a gigantic celtis tree and elevated 10m above the ground, our tree house overlooks an elephant meadow with excellent views over the forest canopy where one can regularly sight black and white Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Forest Elephants, even Chimpanzee sometimes. Her one bedroom is fitted with a bunk bed providing comfortable sleeping for maximum two persons on separate beds. Guests dine at the lodge dining room but need to please be escorted to/from the Tree House before dusk and after day break.

Stay for 3 nights and pay for only 2 in the low season.
