Highlights
The ever changing Makgadikgadi, covered by thousands of zebra and wildebeest during the last surviving migration in southern Africa and then the vast emptiness of the Pans with long canters in the moonlight and nights spent under the stars with our horses tethered close by.
Need To Know
Our Kalahari Ride runs out of the award winning Uncharted Africa camps – Jacks, San or Camp Kalahari – and takes us into the vast and mysterious Makgadikgadi Pans. Our Thamalakane River Ride runs out of the luxurious Royal Tree Lodge allowing us to explore the outer edge of the Okavango Delta.
Safaris
The Kalahari Ride. 3-7 nights on horse back along the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans that dominate the heart of the Kalahari. The Thamalakane River Ride. 2-7 nights exploring on horse back the outer reaches of the Okavango Delta. Privately guided safaris with David Foot throughout Africa.
Wildlife
The Kalahari Ride - tens of thousands of zebra and wildebeest during the migration season. Meerkats and rare desert adapted species - aardwolf, brown hyena, bat eared foxes - as well as wandering elephants, cheetah and the infamous black maned Kalahari lions.
The Thamalakane River Ride - giraffe, plains game including kudu, oryx, eland, zebra, springbok and along the waterways hippo and crocodiles.
