Royal Tree Lodge is situated on a private game reserve located twenty minutes from the iconic safari town of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta.

The Lodge is situated on the banks of the Thalamakane River with an abundance of wildlife including, giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, kudu, springbok, ostrich and an extensive variety of birds.

All proceeds from Royal Tree Lodge are invested back into the community of Maun through the non profit work of Love Botswana Outreach Mission. We can arrange for guests to learn and participate at the Mission and Lerato House.

Walking,horse riding,day trips to Moremi, mekoro trails, scenic flight, boat cruises. Marked walking trails invite guests to create their own adventure or you can set off on a horse back safari which is a great way to see the wildlife up close.

Seeing Eland up close and personal from horse back is thrilling. Evening visits by the Genet family to the deck whilst you are sipping your cocktails. We have had numerous visits from wildlife that comes onto the property over the past year, including 3 wild dogs, caracal, hippo, elephant and crocodile. Latest sighting has been of Chobe Bushbuck.
