Sabuk is remote and beautiful…an exclusive wilderness on the edge of the Northern Laikipia Plateau; perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which cascades beneath the lodge all year round. Sabuk, which remains a family home, offers wilderness and stunning views of the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya, as well as the Karisa Hills and Mathews Mountains in the North.
Sabuk is all about the fabulous camel walks and safaris with fly camps together with a rich cultural experience and heartbeat. Majestic nights spent out under starry skies , rolling hills and adventures,moments of anticipation, excitement shared with your guides and safari team. Sabuk have been running camel safaris in this area for the past 25 years.
Highlights

Safaris
Camel safaris can last just a day as you expolre the surronding area, stop off for lunch by the cool of the river and the shade of rivierine trees. Longers camel safaris can be arranged with fly-camping along the route. No extra cost to staying the night at Sabuk!
Wildlife
Laikipia is different to anywhere else in Kenya. The birding is fantastic, home to around 400 species of birds. The area is also home to more threatened and endangered species than anywhere else in Kenya - including the African Wild Dog and reticulated Giraffe. 70% of the world's population of Grevy zebra live in Laikipia!

Accommodation
5 Cottages a mix of double rooms and twin. Some have star-beds on their private verandah's overlooking the river below, their own fire-places and seating areas. All have en-suite bathrooms with double basins, loo, shower and 'out-door' bath. There is also a Family House accommodating 5 and a Family Room accommodating the same. Eagle Cottage consists of 1 double and 2 twins and has a separate plunge pool, dining area and its own butler service.
