Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest remaining wilderness areas in Africa, with relatively little human impact. It is the largest reserve in Tanzania at 54,000 sq km, three times the size of South Africa's Kruger National Park, and twice the size of the Serengeti. It is also one of Tanzania's three World Heritage Sites.
