Alex Walker’s Serian is all about location, location, location… Our fundamental focal point is wildlife, wilderness and open spaces. Serian’s Serengeti boasts the spectacle of nearly 2 million wildebeest, and the primal thrill of their legendary river crossings… And we’ve created the ideal platform from which to experience all of this: drink in the sensation of nothing more than a strip of canvas separating you from the wild night – and yet, feel at home amongst laid-back people, chilled out spaces, a sound sleep in a well-appointed tent, and simple, delicious food.

Beyond unbelievable wildlife, there is the solitude and tranquility of open untouched spaces… We take our name from the word meaning ‘peaceful…calm…serene’ in the language of the Maasai – and we render for you the palpable essence that is ‘serian’.

We are a seasonal camp located in Northern Serengeti from July until mid-November, making the most of the wildebeest river crossings - after which we move to Southern Serengeti for the wildebeest birthing season where we operate from mid December until early May. Our camps are ideal for combining with fly-camping for a longer stay, and also offer fantastic photographic prospects.

Vehicle safaris in our specially modified cars, walking safaris, and adventure fly-camping are all readily available. All guests enjoy their very own dedicated private safari vehicle with guide and driver throughout their stay with us

While our location close to the Mara River situates us perfectly to enjoy the spectacular drama of the wildebeest river crossings, we also access the diverse array of predators and other game that the Serengeti has to offer.
