Season
Open year round.
Mild winters: dry and warm days (average 60°F/ 20°C) and chilly mornings and evenings (41°F/ 5°C). A wonderful time for visiting Kwa-Zulu Natal, aloe flowering season, great weather for hiking, beautiful clear nights perfect for star-gazing.
Summer: mamba-green surroundings, hot days (77°F/ 25°C) cooler evenings (65°F/ 18°C). It is the rainy season, so expect late afternoon thunderstorms. However by nightfall clouds give way to a star-studded heaven and balmy nights great for relaxing in the boma around the fire.
