Hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders Safari Camp is the latest addition to the Wolwedans Collection. This small, initmate camp is located some 45 km south of Wolwedans. Sleeping a maximum of eight guests in four spacious tents, Boulders is undoubtedly the most exclusive camp at Wolwedans.

Guests visiting Boulders Safari Camp should make sure they arrive at the Wolwedans reception by mid-day. Transfer from the Wolwedans reception to Boulders Safari Camp takes approximately 2 hours.
Landing strip for charter flights: Aandster
Transfer from Aandster to Boulders Safari Lodge takes approximately 30 minutes.
Whilst the Namib Desert can get very hot during the day, the temperature drops quite a bit at night. It is advisable to travel with a set of warmer clothes, should this be the case. Our winters can get quite chilly, especially at night. Please ensure that you travel with sufficient warm clothes.
All our camps are powered by solar energy. The individual chalets provide very limited solar energy. You can charge your camera batteries etc at the main area of the lodge.
Wildlife
Our nature reserve boasts with a large variety of mammal species, consisting of plains game including giraffe, kudu, baboon, oryx, mountain and plain zebra, springbok, klipspringer, red hartebeest, bat eared foxes, spotted hyena, cape fox as well as rich and diverse micro fauna in the desert.
More than 100 bird species call the NamibRand Reserve their home, a bird watchers paradise.

We recommend an average stay of at least 2 nights. Boulders lends itself to a three night stay.
ZAR 7 950.00 per person per night sharing on a Fully Inclusive basis
Fully Inclusive (FI) – includes accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, standard Beverages - Bar (beers, local spirits, soft drinks, water and house wines), Scenic drives and Bushman walks, airfield transfers, VAT and NTB Tourism Levy.
The Foundation Levy and Park Fees are charged additionally. Imported spirits, vintage wines and optional activities as well as transfers to other lodges in the area are excluded.
We take children from 6 years and older. We will accommodate younger children if the camp is booked on an exclusive use basis.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in four exclusive tents. Each tent has a four-poster bed, fitted with a mosquito net and a small dressing table. The outside deck offers undisturbed views of the desert landscape.
Season
Boulders Safari Camp closes from 1 December - 28 / 29 February each year. We are happy to accommodate you at any of our other camps during this period.
Whilst average summer temperatures range between 34 and 38 degress (Celsius) with almost zero humidity, there are those days when the mercury climbs up to 42 degrees. Although winter days are generally very pleasant, nights can be rather frosty and well below zero, with minimum temperatures reaching -4 degrees (Celsius).
