What's Special About Zarafa Camp
There is a tasteful balance at Zarafa with four spacious ‘marquis’ style tents evoking the atmosphere of an original 1920’s safari. Zarafa means ‘the beloved one’ or ‘the lovely one’ in Arabic. The name comes from a giraffe, which was presented to Charles X of France in 1826 by the Viceroy of Egypt. Zarafa’s blend of sustainable operations and appreciation for top quality make it one of Africa’s leading environmentally friendly luxury camps.
