Parks
Hwange is the largest National Park in Zimbabwe and one of the largest in Southern Africa. Bordering Botswana to the West, our private concession is blessed with seeps and springs that provide clean fresh and reliable water for the wildlife in the dry season….water is life, sustenance and the chance of survival to a myriad of fauna – the unique birdlife, insects and tiny creatures, capped by the large mammals and mega fauna of this region.
Hwange has an incredible number of bird species that form a vital part of this habitat, from the very unique Yellow throated Sandgrouse to the largest non-flying bird, the Ostrich. Mammals here are numerous from the large Elephant herds, the buffalo herds, the ever present Impala all the way through to the diverse Roan and Sable antelope.
Few places match this for the sheer numbers and concentrations of creatures great and small. Come and experience it. A place where one could easily spend several days on safari with so many different areas, vistas and landscapes.

Resting on the top of the low foothills in the far northwest of Hwange National Park is Daka Plains. Probably the remotest Camp in Hwange, close to the Botswana border, this area has a very distinct Kalahari feel. Daka Plains offers guests an opportunity to walk and game drive to some of the wildest areas in Southern Africa. The Camp is situated in a private concession in Hwange National Park so allows guests the opportunity to do night drives as well. The small Camp consists of seven double bed units, and all are made of thatch, local rock and canvas. Ideal for taking the whole Camp for groups, this unique place will captivate you. Big sky country is what sums up this wild area. This area is teaming with Buffalo, Roan, Reedbuck, Sable, Waterbuck, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Zebra, Giraffe, and many of the other smaller species such a honey badger and the smaller cats. Daka Plains can be accessed by road from Victoria Falls or by charter flights from Victoria Falls to Robins airstrip, the Camp is then a further 45-minute/1 hour “game” drive from Robins airstrip
